French business will investing several billion dollars in the Russian economy

According to Emmanuel Quidet, The President of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce , the French investments in the Russian economy will be several billions dollar.

"Several billion dollars, I can't accurately estimate the total amount of investments due to the fact that I don't have information on all current projects, but it will surely be several billion dollars," – Quidet said after the meeting of Sergey Naryshkin, Speaker of the State Duma, with representatives of foreign business.

He reminded that the companies like Auchan and others works in Russia. Quidet said that total foreign investments in the Russian economy amounted to 20 billion dollars in 2014.

"French business stays for a long time in Russia, we continue investing in the Russian economy; today we are rising investments in the country," – Quidet said.

"The meeting held today was very useful for our understanding, which initiative the State Duma takes for further improvement of the economic situation, and how we as the French business and international companies can be helpful for this process," – he said.
